This Weekend in the Twin Cities
🎄THE BIG FOUR HOLIDAY MARKETS
Where to shop, sip, wander, and feel festive this weekend.
If you’re planning your holiday weekend, there are four markets across Minneapolis and St. Paul that feel like instant mood-boosters — each with its own energy, vendors, food, and festive personality. Here’s everything you need to know so you can pick the perfect one (or make a full holiday market crawl out of it).

✨ 1. Minneapolis Christkindl Market
📍 700 N 5th St, Minneapolis
🗓 Open Fri–Sun through Dec 21
⏰ Fridays 4–9 PM | Saturdays 12–9 PM | Sundays 12–6 PM
If you want the full storybook experience, start here. The Minneapolis Christkindl Market is the closest thing we have to stepping into a European village for the evening — glowing wooden huts, twinkling lights, warm drinks in collectible mugs, and the kind of cozy chaos that makes December magical.
You’ll find:
Hand-carved ornaments, wool wear, candles, ceramics
German snacks: brats, pretzels, schnitzel, roasted nuts
Glühwein and Kinderpunsch (the real stars of the show)
Carolers, folk musicians, and festive performancesa “we’re in this together” kind of vibe.

🎁 2. Dayton’s Holiday Market Nicollet Mall (Minneapolis)
📍 700 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis
🗓 Open daily through Dec 27
⏰ Mon–Sat 10 AM–6 PM | Sun 11 AM–5 PM
Dayton’s is back with its now-signature holiday market — a curated collection of 50+ independent makers set inside one of Minneapolis’ most nostalgic buildings.
Expect a beautifully designed indoor space (bless), classic décor nods to the original Dayton’s holiday tradition, and a polished lineup of gifts that range from luxury candles to handmade jewelry, prints, kids’ items, gourmet treats, and thoughtfully designed home goods.
You’ll find:
50+ local makers rotating throughout the season
Indoor, climate-controlled shopping (huge win)
Giftables across every category
Holiday displays + occasional themed events or Santa appearancesad a baby, it would look like this.

🌿 3. Field & Festival Holiday Market — Wagner’s Garden Center (Minneapolis)
📍 6024 Penn Ave S, Minneapolis
🗓 Saturdays & Sundays through Dec 21
⏰ 10 AM–2 PM
Hosted inside a greenhouse, Field & Festival is a completely different experience: quieter, warmer, intentionally local, and rooted in community. It’s the kind of place where you go for gifts and end up talking to three makers, eating a pastry, and leaving with a wreath you didn’t plan on buying.
A collaboration between Minneapolis Craft Market and Wagner’s Garden Center, it features:
Local makers only — ceramics, small-batch foods, textiles, apothecary, jewelry
Fresh greenery, wreaths, plants, and seasonal décor
Baked goods, cocoa, and artisanal snacks
Rotating vendors each weekend (always something new)

🎄 4. European Christmas Market — Union Depot (St. Paul)
📍 214 4th St E, St. Paul
🗓 Open Fri–Sun through Dec 21
⏰ Fridays 4–9 PM | Saturdays 10 AM–8 PM | Sundays 11 AM–7 PM
While Christkindl is cozy, the European Christmas Market at Union Depot is expansive — a true blend of culture, food, music, and artisan craft. Think hand-knit goods, traditional European pastries, hot mulled wine, and dancers performing in front of the Depot’s towering backdrop.
You’ll find:
Dozens of European-style vendors + fair-trade gifts
Czech kolaches, German baked goods, pierogis, and savory plates
Live entertainment all weekend (choirs, bands, folk dancers)
Indoor warming areas and a large outdoor layout
Gorgeous photo ops — the giant tree, the arch, the Depot facade

How the Purple House Found Me
A real estate moment that felt less like business and more like a message.
This fall, I landed the most unexpected listing of my entire career — the 2.9M Purple House — and the story behind how it happened still surprises even me. It wasn’t strategy, it wasn’t marketing, and it definitely wasn’t traditional real estate. It began with a vision I didn’t choose, synchronicities I couldn’t have planned, and a single email that shifted everything.

10 Minnesotan Tells That Prove You’re One of Us ❄️😂

Minnesota winters do something to us, and not just frostbite. They give us… tells. The unmistakable habits that separate casual visitors from the people who have truly earned their winter stripes.
We’re talking about the annual “WOW, it’s cold!” moment (as if January is new), the sudden feral joy when it hits 35°, the spiritual awakening that occurs during a polar plunge, and the proud moral superiority you feel after shoveling your neighbor’s driveway “just because.”
And yes — even lifelong Minnesotans forget how unhinged some of these behaviors sound when you say them out loud. But that’s the magic of living here. Winter doesn’t just shape our seasons… it shapes our personality.
Read the full list, but ALSO shoot me back a message with your classic Minnesota tells. I’d love to hear!

THIS WEEK'S BAD JOKES
❄️ How do snowmen get around?
They ride an icicle.
⛄ What do you call a snowman with a six-pack?
An abdominal snowman.
🧩 Riddle: I can be cracked, made, told, or played. What am I?
